Raed Issa was born in Gaza in 1975. He is the founder of the visual arts program within the Palestine Red Crescent Society and also the founder of Eltiqa, a contemporary art collective based in Gaza. He holds a degree in computer science from Al Aqsa University in Gaza.

The founder of the Alpha association, Father Albert Abi Azar, lives in Beirut. Alpha, a partner of CCFD-Terre Solidaire, operates in the Land of the Cedars, but also in Syria and Iraq for humanitarian emergency missions, and as part of its literacy program.
